If you are experiencing discomfort from an abscess or root canal infection, we can fit you into our schedule for emergency treatment with just a few hours notice. Root canal allows us to control infection and provide relief from broken, decayed or abscessed teeth. While it’s common for patients to be offered implant therapy for infected teeth, root canal and crown is often a better option. By choosing root canal, you not only retain your own natural tooth structure, but both root canal and crown can be performed at a fraction of the cost of an implant!
During root canal, we remove any diseased, painful tissue from the central core of the tooth. We then shape and sterilize this chamber and pack it with a rubber sealant. After root canal, your damaged tooth can be restored to normal function with a crown.
Over his career, Dr. Creese has had extensive experience with root canals and routinely performs endodontic treatment on any tooth -- even those intricate inaccessible second molars which are tucked way back by the wisdom teeth. Methods for root canal therapy are rapidly evolving and Dr. Creese continually takes classes and scours the literature to keep abreast of these ever-changing treatment strategies.
